Windows Mixed Reality may be the next big thing in the world of technology albeit, as of writing, it looks just like virtual reality. However, Microsoft asserts that Mixed Reality is a blend of augmented and virtual reality into a single headset.
That means you won’t be needing external sensors. Just plug in the headset via HDMI and a USB port, mark out your play area, and you’re good to go. If staying in one spot, however, you can skip setting up the play area.
To let you know if your machine is capable of running Mixed Reality, Microsoft has launched the Windows Mixed Reality PC Check.
It’s a small app that you have to download to your PC running Windows 10 OS with x64 architecture.
Once the application is done checking your PC, it will let you know if there any changes you need to make to accommodate Mixed Reality.
