Unimatic U1-E
Unimatic certainly knows how to get our hearts racing with their exclusive and limited edition drops of dive watches and the U1-E is no exception, as you’d expect from the Italian watchmaker. In this latest series, there’s a quarter of styles on offer with the U1-E, U1-EN, U1-EM and the U1-EMN which all come in tonal colors and feature almost identical styling when it comes to their case designs. What differentiates them apart are the finishing details including the all-important dial and date functionalities. Each timepiece sports 40mm-wide domed sapphire crystals is water resistant to 300 meters and comes with a hefty and durable wrist strap.
The U1-E is a limited run of just 600 pieces and is a thoroughly professional Italian manufactured diving watch that features a flat sapphire bezel offset with a bgw-PO Super Liminova, highly readable display. This ensures outstanding visibility in a host of conditions, but that sapphire bezel insert is also entirely scratch resistant. Matching phantom ladder hands indicate the time with white easy view tips. The case is anti-reflective too so you can be assured of the best performance no matter what the light conditions. The brushed stainless steel case is water resistant to 300 meters or 1000 feet with the case back featuring that Unimatic conversion scale engraving as well as the individual progressive number which makes adds to the collectability of these pieces.
With a highly accurate and automatic Seiko caliber movement, it’s tuned to 21600bph with 41 h power reserve as well as also featuring hacking second hands and bi-directional winding. All of that fantastic craftsmanship and timekeeping is completed with a 22mm black heavy duty v-shaped nylon strap that features a brushed and signed custom buckle. This is one seriously impressive and highly covetable divers watch that will look good on any wrist.
