Tesla’s cars are going to be getting a lot smarter this year. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has stated that their Model S sedan will be receiving a software update that will allow it to drop of its driver at a given location, park itself, and later return to the location to pick the driver up. Musk also mentioned that the Model S will be able to drive itself on the highway and that drivers will be able to, “almost travel the entire route without touching any controls at all.”

Another update will be coming out later on this month which will help reduce “range anxiety”. Tesla’s Model S will alert users when they’re in danger of running out of battery and will also help drivers reach their nearest supercharging station.

The Tesla Model S features a 360 degree sonar sensor, forward looking camera, radar, and proximity sensors. It can do 0-60mph in as little as 3.2 seconds and can do over 270 miles on a single charge with its electric motor. Tesla has truly built the most tech-forward car on the market today.
