The fact that you click on the title tells us that you are a Star Wars fan as well. So welcome.

Today we are sharing with you probably one of the most amazing pens we’ve seen simply because it’s Star Wars-inspired. But it’s not just a mere logo or stickers attached to a pen or a saber-shaped handle. No. It’s nowhere near that.

In fact, it’s so far from that idea that you probably won’t understand how this is a tool for writing.

Anyway, S.T. Dupont Star Wars X-Wing Pen is the miniature version of the 1977 X-Wing you saw on the original movie. It comes in 13 pieces that you have to assemble like a puzzle so you can pen your name like a boss followed by “filthy rich” at the end.

This pen was created to “…celebrate the new Star Wars ‘The Force Awakens’ film… [It is] enhanced by beautiful guilloched motifs that replicate the original design of the fighter spacecraft, first seen in Star Wars Episode IV ‘A New Hope.’ Assemble the pieces inside to create your very own X-wing holder that showcase your pen in true style, perfect for any Star Wars enthusiast whilst offering a timeless writing experience.”

In short:

It. is. Awesome.

Imagine signing your checks with this or drafting your love letter a la Shakespeare using an X-Wing pen. How cool is that?

So what’s annoying about it?

Here’s the thing. This ballpoint pen comes with a hefty price tag, and when we say hefty, we mean one-thousand-and-seven-hundred-dollars kind of hefty.

One-seven-oh-oh for a single pen. This price is not surprising, though. S.T. Dupont created a $41, 000 lighter, anyway.

But you know what’s even more annoying? It’s when you know someone out there can actually buy one or two of this, and you don’t even know how much will remain on your next paycheck.

Life’s pretty unfair, huh?
