Daniel Kim has talent, which is more than we can say for half the people in this year’s Pop Danthology mashup. Despite the dam-busting sea of crap that has been crushing the airwaves this year, Kim managed to take 68 of the year’s Billboard chart-toppers and 180 hours of his life, and produce something that is coherent and downright catchy. The 2013 release marks the fourth consecutive year he has done so, and one thing is for certain: it’s not getting easier.

Robin Thicke. Miley Cyrus. Katy Perry. Justin Bieber. He had his work cut out for him. Luckily, there was also a lot of talent to work from as well — JT, Daft Punk, and that captivating princess you see in the featured image above (to name a few).

The efforts are paying off. At the time of this post, he’s garnered more than a half-million views, and we’re quite certain that’s just the beginning. How can we be so sure? Well, the 2012 retrospective is now up to more than 43 million.

Kim describes himself as a “strategic communicator and media specialist.” This video is well-earned confirmation:
