As if the Playstation 4 wasn’t the cherry topping upon a bright future for entertainment, Sony has announced the future release of their own cloud-based TV service that promises to allow users the freedom to choose what to watch and how to watch it without any hidden fees, contracts, hardware installation fees, and cancellation fees. The realm of TV programming and service has been a battlefield of mixed messages from big companies, hopeful startups that seemingly disappear, and the failure to deliver promised customer satisfaction. Sony wants to change that through the all new Playstation Vue.

Instead of having to pay for packages of channels and content, users of the Playstation Vue will have the freedom to pick and choose what they want to see, how much they will pay based on the content they want, and simply use the service on a month-to-month basis. Basically, Sony is ushering in a new age of television services where customers aren’t screwed over and robbed. Playstation Vue will be available on the Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 upon its initial release in 2015, and then onto other Sony devices and non-Sony devices like the iPad later in the year.
