The Moto 360 2 wasn’t the only smartwatch that Motorola launched at last week’s IFA 2015 conference in Berlin. If you’re the sporty type then you should continue reading on because Motorola has released its first smartwatch thats aimed at folks like you. The Moto 360 Sport is a 42mm fully functional smartwatch which is coated in a rubbery, exercise-friendly material and not the leather and metal of its siblings.
Other differences from the regular Moto 360 2 is the inclusion of GPS functionality as well as a new type of display (called “AnyLight”) which melds two types of LCD technology (both backlit and frontlit) in order to make your smartwatch legible even in broad daylight.
Motorola has been quiet about other features such as waterproof rating and turn-by-turn navigation and the company may be saving some of that info for a future press conference. There’s no pricing and availability information either but considering how late in the year it is, we’d guess that this watch won’t be available until Q1/Q2 2016.
