Backpacks made with waterproof shells are nothing new. That being said, no backpack is fully submersible in quite the same way as the Helixot XO 6.2 Backpack. Thanks to special welded seams, coated fabric, and a ingenious screw-cap close system, it can boast a full IPX-8 rating — meaning that it can be taken up to 3 meters underwater.

While not ideal for scuba diving (you wouldn’t want to take a backpack instead of your oxygen tank anyways), it is perfect for snorkeling, swimming, and surfing. The main component of the Helixot XO 6.2 Backpack is large enough to let you carry your smartphone, tablet, food, camera, and headphones. Inside the backpack itself is a smaller mesh pocket that’ll keep your wallet safe and dry. Not enough for you? Two external pockets are also present for water bottles and the like.
