Brace yourself, because the world’s largest ultra-wide monitor is set to launch this month. This new 38-inch curved monster is actually one of three ultra-wide 21:9 monitors that the Korean titan teased last month shortly prior to its IFA trade show. The 38UC99 (LG is quite creative with its naming), as its being called, is more than capable of playing 4K video and producing ultra-wide high resolution images at over 3840 x 1600.
In addition to being the largest monitor ever, its also the largest curved ultra-wide as well as the first of its class to include a USB-C port. Completing the effect are two Bluetooth speakers that are neatly tucked into its body so you can play music from either your smartphone, your laptop, or your desktop computer.
The 38UC99 is perfect for gamers, photo editors, and videographers alike. If any of these three sound like you then you should know that it’ll be released shortly worldwide for the not-so-modest sum of $1499.
