Remember Intel’s Compute Stick? First introduced roughly 8 months ago, it made quite the splash as technologists predicted that it would eventually lead to the death of the desktop PC as we know it. Well, the first gen Compute Stick didn’t quite live up to the hype but Intel is certain that it’s second gen USB PC will.

Meet the all new 2016 Intel Compute Stick. Unlike the original, this second-gen Compute Stick is something you’d actually want to use thanks to its inclusion of a faster processor, better networking and more USB port options.

So just how much better is better? Well, the 2016 Compute Stick’s 1.44GHz Atom x5-z8400 processor is actually capable of 4K video playback whereas the first-gen Compute Stick could only do 1080p. There are also four times the WiFi antenna’s in the new Stick, making 4K video streaming and downloading a breeze.
