It’s no secret that Google wants to take down the iPad. In fact, they want to take down the iPad so badly that they don’t completely trust their OEM partners to do it. That’s why they’ve developed the Nexus 9, an 8.9” tablet which features an Nvidia Tegra K1 Dual-core 2.3 GHz chip, 1536 x 2048 IPS display, 8MP back camera, 1.6MP “selfie” front facing camera, and your choice of 16GB or 32GB of storage. Also your choice is the color and you’ll be able to choose between silver, black, and gold.

Holding the Nexus 9 in your hands feels solid. The front and sides are made out of metal and the back is made out of a really comfortable soft touch plastic. The device weighs just under a pound, which is quite the achievement for a device of its size. The Nexus 9 is available from Google now for $399.99.
