Google got out of the direct sales game after the Nexus One flopped (the phone was great, but Google failed to sell many of them directly).
Users loved the stock (read: pure) Android experience not present on other phones, such as the Droid Eris and the original Droid.
Well, it looks like Google and Samsung have teamed up to deliver a new phone with virgin Android built-in: the Nexus S.
Sporting a curved 4-inch WVGA display, 5 Megapixel camera, 512MB of RAM, a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, 16GB of onboard storage and the latest Android iteration, Gingerbread, the Nexus S is going to be tops on Google-lovers’ Christmas list this season.
The biggest bonus of the Nexus S – no Blur or Sense skins, no crapware, no nothing. This is Android the way it was meant to be used. Let’s hope you’re due for an upgrade soon.
