When Porsche Design sets its hands on to something, we all know it will turn out to be so elegant-looking that exquisite will be an understatement. It is like when King Midas would touch something, and it would turn into gold. You know the story.
Studio F.A. Porsche has done it again this time, but instead of becoming gold, the GTT 115 is Rhodium Grey.
Aiming to be the Gran Turismo of the ocean, Gran Turismo Transatlantic 115 strives to live up to its promise of showcasing speed, luxury, and style. “A new kind of superyacht [in] the market,” says Sergei Dobroserdov, CEO of Dynamiq.
Studio F.A. Porsche, the Austria-based part of the Porsche Design Group, chose a dropped-shape silhouette similar to the iconic Porsche 911.
And the resemblance doesn’t end there.
The cleats on the GTT 115 mimic the aft lighting on the 911. Also, the Pepita houndstooth deck cushions (throw pillows in a poor man’s term) are similar to those in the 911 R edition.
However, it’s not only the 911 the GTT 115 has taken its cues from. The interior mimics the Porsche Mission E’s dashboard with the horizontal wood and aluminum trim pieces.
The furniture and decoration, on the other hand, are created in collaboration with Minotti, international design/style company with an Italian descent. Its influence on the GTT 115 is ubiquitous in the Saddle brown and Luxor beige leather, Sahara Noms marble, and the carbon-fiber detailing.
Aside from the elegant exterior and classy furniture, this superyacht also boasts a spacious saloon, accommodation, and entertainment area.
Below the deck, there are cabins for six guests and six crews. Each room sleeps two and is as high as approximately 7 feet or 2.15 meters. On the upper deck, you’re welcomed with a shaded al fresco dining area, superyacht spa pool, and a vertical prow.
The light-filled saloon is another place to bask in with its comfy seats and intricate detailing that’s relaxing for both the mind and body.
Dutch company, Vripack, was in charge of the naval bits-and-pieces, and this is what their architectural minds assembled:
As seen in the picture, GTT 115 is powered by dual MAN V12 diesel engines that come with 1650hp. Combine that with the two Fortjes 5000 POD drives with contrarotating propellers and you get a maximum speed of 21 knots with a range of 3400 nautical miles. Cruise speed is at 19 knots.
You may also opt for a hybrid setup, which will give you 20.8-kW electric motors to the gearbox. This is favorable if you are after a zero-local-emission, low-speed sailing.
Another part of the hybrid system is two 45kW Fischer Panda in the bow which gives you less smoke and more silence in the aft area.
The GTT 115 sells for approximately $16, 600, 000 for the base model, and it could be more depending on the customization you’d like to have with Dynamiq online configurator.
Some of the additional or modifiable options are the color for the hull or superstructure, antenna domes, exterior details, cushions, and railing inserts; arrangement from three to four cabins; a forward sun pad on the main deck; a sliding door in the main saloon; and sundeck TV wall, bar, and Riviera Wave 255 pool. All of which will cost you extra $160, 000 at the least.
Aside from Minotti interiors, you may also opt for Bottega Veneta accessories package and Sabrina for Dynamiq package, which are more or less $730, 000 all in all.
You can also choose the Hull Vane, Hybrid package, Stabilization Plus package, RINA Unrestricted Range package, Silent package. In total, this is almost $1, 000, 000.
There are other customization options such as Deck furniture by Glyn Peter Machin, 2-zone IR heating, stainless steel yacht name, exterior HUE lights, underwater lights, XIR glass color, awning poles color, mooring lights on the main deck, PowerRay Wizard, B&W high-end audio system, Panasonic bow camera, cinema and disco package, karaoke package, Sky TV channels, Underwater ROV, Drone DJI Inspire2, and Oculus YachtEye.
And that’s not all. The list is still long but will stop here because these numbers are reminding us how irrelevant our bank accounts are.
Dynamiq GTT 115 is indeed a superyacht for the modern gentlemen who want both speed and style without compromising one or the other. And with only seven units to be produced, this is no doubt a collector’s item.
And for us who can only lust on this Porsche creation, they have a Swiss Army knife for only $150.
