Planning your next family vacation? Why not a five-day stay in space?

Orbital Technologies has recently announced that they’re planning to send a space hotel into orbit 217 miles up. The hotel will fit 7 guests in four cabins and would have huge windows for a stunning view.

It’ll take two days to get there via a Soyuz rocket, and it won’t be ready until 2016. But chances are you’ll need at least that long to save up for the epic trip. In fact, at nearly $1 million per person, unless you’re raking in some serious cash, you’ll need a lot longer than 5 years to come up with that kind of capital.
