Cloud Water - CBD Blood Orange & Coconut Water
Vita Coco - Apple Ginger CBD Drink
Dram Apothecary - Alpine Berry CBD Sparkling Switchel
Hemp + hydration? Yes, please! It gives chilled water another meaning.
The king of hemp-derived cannabinoids, CBD has made its way into products on your kitchen table, in your bathroom, and atop your bedside table (CBD lube, anyone?). Why not water? Given its feel-good standing as a heal-all elixir for such modern woes as anxiety, insomnia, depression, and more, CBD is a natural match for water. Hydration is inextricable from health itself, so add a little CBD to boost your wellness by mitigating inflammation.
We scoured the web, parsed consumer reviews, spoke with experts, and drank some CBD-infused waters ourselves to narrow our list of favorites.

How Do They Make CBD-Infused Water?
As basic as it gets, CBD water is simple to consume but tricky to produce. The blending of halcyon hemp with hydrating H20 must first overcome that one fact you remember from high school chemistry class: Oil and water don’t mix.
Hydrophobic by nature, CBD oil is repelled by water. Making CBD hydrophilic and water-soluble is a trick enabled by reducing the extracted CBD oil to tiny droplets and thereby increasing the cannabinoid’s absorptive qualities. You’ll read technical terms like nano-emulsion, micro-emulsion, and liposome on a range of CBD beverages that market the emulsification process employed.
Per DataM Intelligence, “the CBD Water Market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 26.90% during the forecast period (2020-2027).” And as this market grows, the choice of beverages will expand in variety and distribution points, from grocery stores to gas stations to restaurants.
We’re all for it, because consuming CBD-infused water is easier than swallowing pills and capsules or enduring oily tinctures. And these waters certainly have fewer calories than gummies and CBD candies.
