A year and a half is a long time, in tech that is. It feels like an eternity since the first Apple Watch was released, and most of us were unsure as to whether everyone’s favorite Fruit Company would actually release a new smartwatch or not. After all, sales of the Apple Watch — while impressive — weren’t anywhere near what the company expected them to be and the product itself didn’t exactly take the world by storm.
While the reasons for that are myriad, Apple hopes that it’s new Series 2 will convince you to buy their new smartwatch. Is it worth it though? If you liked the original Apple Watch design but want a timepiece that can also provide you directions with built-in GPS, still function at depths up to 50 meters, and offer robust fitness tracking features, then it definitely is. While these are the most notable new features of Series 2, other interesting notables include a brighter screen — perfect for outdoors — and a faster processor for native apps.
