As much as we thought 2013 was the year of the 3D printer, something tells us that we have only touched the tip of the iceberg at this juncture. Closing out the end of the year is an exciting new project, which should make a splash in 2014, called the 3Dsimo Pen. The pen is gorgeously compact and ergonomically correct in design.
To use 3Dsimo, all you have to do is plug it in, set the desired speed and temperature according to the material you’re using, and get busy making something out of nothing. Possible uses include repairing plastics, bonding and assembling models, creating jewelry, or just goofing off. The creators promise that it’s about as easy to use as a pencil.
