November 12, 2017, marked the return of the road king we have all come to love, and he brings with him more speed and power starting off with the SAE-certified 755 horsepower (563 kW) and 715 lb-ft of torque (969 Nm).

The 2019 Corvette ZR1 was unveiled in Dubai days before the Motor Show. The newest ZR1 continues the Corvette legacy but with greater track performance and more advanced technology.

Corvette’s supercharging legacy began in 2009 with the 6th-generation ZR1, which the 2015 7th-generation Z06 continued.

And now the 2019 Corvette ZR1 houses an exclusive LT5 6.2L V-8 supercharged engine that produces the horsepower and torque mentioned above—a new benchmark in supercar performance.

The addition of a new intercooled supercharger system and GM’s first dual-fuel-injection system produced 52% more displacement than the Z06 supercharger.

The two wind tunnel-honed aerodynamics packages—a standard rear low wing and a two-way adjustable High Wing–produced approximately 950 pounds of downforce. The difference between these two packages is that former generates about 70% more downforce than the Z06’s base package while the latter offers 60% more.

Other inclusions of the aerodynamics package are a front splitter with carbon-fiber end caps, optional Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, and specific chassis with both wings tied into it plus Magnetic Ride control tuning that enhances cornering grip, strength, and stability.

The redesigned front fascia and the overall more aggressive appearance both contribute to making it the fastest Corvette to date.

The all-new front fascia now includes four new radiators for a total of 13 in all which enables the ZR1 to channel air for the propulsion system and drivetrain cooling. Add to that the stanchion-mounted wings and you get the top speed of 210 mph.

To top it off, the 2019 Corvette Z R1 comes in a design package that’s meant to turn heads and make the ZR1 an eye candy. The Sebring Orange Design Package centers on the Sebring orange tintcoat exterior color and is supported by orange seatbelts brake calipers, rocker, and interior stitching. For even more distinction these orange details are paired with a bronze aluminum interior trim.

The 2019 Corvette ZR1 is expected to start selling in spring 2018. Pricing details to follow.
