From the year in which it’s all supposed to end comes the car that will make you hope it doesn’t. An update of the 1968 classic, the 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca is a beast. With the Laguna Seca package (or without), you can enjoy 440 horsepower with 380 lb.-ft. of torque thanks to the 5.0-litre V8 engine. Add in updated brake improvements as well as strengthened clutch, suspension, and short-shift, and you’ve got a ride that will produce 1.0G’S of lateral traction.

For any of you who’ve ever seen Vanishing Point, it’s likely that if Kowalski were alive today, he’d be second-guessing his selection of car and would want to be strapped to this engine instead. After all, with the Laguna Seca package, Ford promises that its new creation could take the BMW M3 mano-y-mano. Check this thing’s undercarriage for balls, seriously.
