Bourbon. The very word is enough to set whisky lovers into a frenzy with certain ardent supporters of the American drink to fervently defend it while those who prefer a traditional whisky might attack it with reckless abandon. Regardless of which side you fall on, everyone will probably appreciate Wild Turkey Master’s Keep Decades Bourbon.
Made in celebration of Master Distiller Eddie Russell on his 35th anniversary at Wild Turkey, Eddie is the son of bourbon baron Jimmy Russell, with whom he still distills whisky with side by side. Eddie Russell didn’t always have it easy, though. While he might be a brewmaster today, he had to learn the ins and outs of the bourbon industry from the ground up beginning in 1981 when he began his first day at Wild Turkey. Now, over 30 years later, Eddie has finally gotten his place in the spotlight with Decades, a premium blend of American whiskies ranging in age from 10 to 20 years. More below.
