Let’s face it, a vast majority of Toyota’s cars haven’t really been all that exciting in years. All that’s about to change the moment that the Japanese-based automobile giant decides to release the FT-4X concept, though.
Conceived of by Toyota’s own Calty Design Research firm in California, this car is meant to be a modern urban explorer in every sense of the word. With a smaller footprint when compared to traditional SUVs, it’s able to easily maneuver around city streets and parking spaces — heck, it’s so small that parallel parking is made super easy when you’re driving an FT-4X!
Aside from its small size, notable features of the FT-4X include a rear Multi-Hatch that can open horizontally or vertically, allowing for access no matter how little space is available. Tie-down hooks are available in ample amounts on the bumpers, roof, and spacious cargo bay, and color-coded storage areas make it clear what each is for. There’s even both heated and cooled boxes in the rear!
But wait, there’s more! Included onboard are The North Face sleeping bags that doubles as an armrest, and a GoPro HERO5 Session camera built into the driver’s side rearview mirror to document your journeys. Find out more below.
