TiVo Premiere Q

By Harry Marks on June 18, 2011

TiVo is trying to do more business with cable operators by releasing a brand new set top box in conjunction with RCN and Suddenlink.

The TiVo Premiere Q expands upon the original dual-tuner TiVo Premiere by offering quad-tuning capabilities. What that means is the Q can record up to four shows at once and stream up to three HD feeds over a Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA) or Ethernet home network. Say goodbye to fighting over whose Season Pass gets cancelled because it conflicts with something else at the same time.

An updated TiVo iPad app is also due soon that would incorporate video-on-demand into the app’s search and browsing functions, along with the operator’s on-demand catalog and linear programming listing.

Prepare to be the master of your home entertainment domain with the new TiVo Premiere Q and TiVo iPad app when they’re released.
