Tater Tot FlatLight

By Aric Mitchell on January 23, 2013

The Tater Tot FlatLight would have come in handy the other night when a certain inStash writer tore his hand trying to replace the washer fluid cap on his VW Jetta. (Operative term “inStash writer,” not “mechanic.”) The iPhone flashlight never seemed bright enough to work in tight, dark spaces, and there’s something not in the least bit appetizing about setting your expensive electronic device in said environment to help you see better.

The FlatLight solves this problem with an ultra-thin fiber optic light that is easy to carry in purse, pocket, glove or toolbox. The device is also great for reading in bed, and uses indirect LEDs, helping your eyes to adjust more easily without becoming a nuisance to those around you who just want to get some sleep.
