Personally I’m a bit skeptical about all the hype surrounding these barefoot “finger” shoes. But people are buying them, so apparently they’re working for some.
Swiss Barefoot Company is taking it a step further. Why wear shoes at all when we can just wear socks? The Swiss Protection Socks are made from a blend of 50 percent Kevlar, 32 percent polyester, 10 percent cotton and 8 percent spandex. And if bulletproof protection from the kevlar doesn’t convince you, the socks are also reinforced with a PVC laminate. Supposedly all of this protection allows you to engage in all sorts of activities with only socks on your feet, including water sports, running and even rock climbing.
Now how long until a company says “screw socks”, and starts offering a protective laminate applied directly to your feet?
