What if we told you that the TV pictured above (and below) actually has a speaker and a stand. Unlike most television sets, the Sony XBR-A1E Bravia OLED TV hides most of its guts in a folding kickstand, meaning that it will brighten up any room with a minimalistic aesthetic that’ll have your guests saying “Wow!” as soon as they see your new TV set. The aforementioned speakers, on the other hand, are located in the screen itself. As crazy as that approach sounds, this approach creates a union of images and sound usually only see in theaters.
Besides killer sound and a cleaner design, Sony has opted for this approach in order to minimize the weight and thickness of the TV set as well. It’s also been able to achieve this reduction in the set’s thickness while still being able to boast eight million self-illuminating pixels, incredible viewing angles, HDR support, and insane black levels.
