Sharpie Liquid Pencil may not be bringing sexy back, but it is certainly determined to make writing with pencils cool again. A unique creation in that it will make broken lead a thing of the past, this “smooth like a pen, erasable like a pencil” utensil boasts a liquid graphite technology that also takes care of sharpening and those pesky mechanical reloads, as in you’ll never have to do them again. Of course, the replacement is a pesky liquid lead reload, but you can cross that bridge when she comes.
Sharpie also promises a durable eraser and a soft grip to add to that “I Can’t Believe It’s Not a Pen” feel. At $4, it’s kind of pricey unless you’re the type of person that actually does reload a writing utensil when it’s out of juice instead of just throwing it away. Some of us know ourselves too well to take the plunge, but for others, this is a welcome addition to the cadre of office supplies.
