If you’re not a fan of the Batman helmet but still would like to be equally badass, the ScorpionExo Covert Black Helmet can deliver just that.
This helmet is made of an advanced polycarbonate shell, which is made exclusively by its maker, Scorpion Sports Inc. Polycarbonate, just so you know, has good impact and heat resistance according to Creative Mechanisms. Compared to other materials such as ABS and PVC, Polycarbonate has better impact strength.
With that said, it only means that the ScorpionExo Covert Black Helmet is created with one of the best materials there is for a helmet so your head can be protected better.
The polycarbonate shell is not only to ensure durability but also to minimize weight and disperse impact. For added protection, there’s the dual density EPS.
For eye protection, you get the retractable sun visor that has both the clear and the dark smoke versions. Both sides of which are coated with the EverClear coating to make sure the helmet doesn’t accumulate fog when driving.
For comfort, the ScorpionExo Covert Black Helmet offers you Aero-tuned ventilation system to avoid heat build up when you’re wearing it. Then there’s also the Kwikwick Ii Fabric that’s not only antibacterial but also warm yet cool at the same time. This fabric is removable and washable.
This helmet may be worn in 1/2 or 3/4 mode just attach/detach the front mask and the block off plates. This feature is especially helpful when you are stopping for a quick fuel refill or putting on/off your glasses as you no longer have to remove the entire helmet. Detaching the front mask will do.
If you’re using this during the cold season, however, note that it does not maintain heat due to its ventilation system, which has a good airflow. You may want to wear an inner cap for that.
