One of the big winners at CES 2013 this month – at least in the eyes of cNet – was this stunning 85-inch display from the coveted Samsung Series 9. Its official name is the UN85S9 Ultra HD TV, and while it isn’t the biggest TV on the block, it’s still an astounding seven feet diagonally (with a remainder of one), and boasts ultra HD features, which if you’ve been keeping up with the home entertainment market, means 3840 x 2160 resolution.
Basically, it makes your standard HD look like white cat turds. The UN85S9 has a number of other bells and whistles to be proud of, the most convenient of which – at least for Samsung mobile users – is SmartView, a feature that allows streaming between the mobile device and the television. The Smart Hub application also delivers more music, more videos and more music.
What’s next? 8000 x 4000 resolution? We can’t wait to find out.
