Porsche Passport is to speed junkies as Netflix is to movie lovers. Yes, folks, you can now drive up to different 22 Porsche sports cars and SUVs every day for 30 days for a monthly subscription of at least $2000. A bit pricey, yes, but it comes with a pretty sweet deal.
There are two subscription programs available: Launch and Accelerate. Launch is priced at $2000 while the latter is at $3000. Both programs take care of tax, registration, insurance, repairs, and even detailing. On top of these, you will be asked to pay a one-time activation fee of $500. You won’t be charged, though, unless your first flip is verified and confirmed.
Also, you may change your Porsche frequently and go as far as you want. There’s no mileage restriction.
The monthly subscription fee also includes Porsche Passport insurance; highlights of which are $1 million liability insurance policy (combined single limit), $300, 000 uninsured motorists, $2, 000 medical payments to offset any out of pocket or deductible costs, and $1, 000 deductible.
The only difference between the two is the access to the models. Launch lets you drive up to eight models including 718 Boxter, Cayman S, Macan S, and Cayenne. Accelerate has a wider option—22 at that—including Porsche 911 Carrera S, Panamera 4S sports sedan, Macan GTS, Cayenne S E-Hybrid SUVs, and the other models available for Launch.
How To Use
To use, just download the Passport App to your iOS or Android device and request the car that will suit your needs including the date and time you need it. You will also be asked to provide the delivery address, and a personal concierge will deliver it to you.
If you’re switching models, your preferences in the previous car will be carried over to the next car, ensuring you’re set to go once the new model arrives. And, again, flipping vehicles is unrestricted. You may keep the cars within the 30-day period for as long as you want or change models every day. Note, however, that you may be requested to give the vehicle back for preventive maintenance.
All requests, however, are subject for approval. Once you have sent it, you will be asked to provide driver’s license and credit card information along with the membership application form. Porsche Passport will then conduct a background and credit check for obvious reasons.
Currently, Porsche Passport is available to Atlanta Metro residents but will, hopefully, expand to other states.
If you find the price a bit (or way) out of your budget, you may check out Cadillac subscription deals which are $500 cheaper or save the monthly fees and in 40 months, you may get your own Porsche Mission E.
