Philips Fidelio DS9000 Primo Docking Speaker

By Aric Mitchell on January 2, 2011

Philips Fidelio DS9000 Primo Docking Speaker has learned from several years of docking speaker technology to forgo the analog part of the docked device in favor of PureDigital delivery. Along with the Passive Crossover design, this feature sets Philips offering apart as one that filters out impurities for a sound that reports to be unadulterated musical enhancement from what you’ll typically get through your iPod/iPhone speakers.

Another feature of the DS9000 is that it fits your iPod or iPhone even with the protective casing on, so you have that extra layer of protection from dust and damage. Last but not least the curved back design is supposed to improve sound quality and offer a more all-encompassing experience. It also sort of makes the whole unit look like an oversized sunglasses case, which we’re totally okay with. It’ll run you just under four bills, but if you haven’t bought a docking speaker yet, why the heck not?
