Last year Tiger Woods started wearing a prototype shoe from Nike. Since then he’s been working with Nike’s Tobie Hatfield – who designed shoes for sprinter Michael Johnson in the 1996 Olympic Games – to design the ultimate golf shoe. Now, after a year of development, you can finally own a pair.
The Nike TW ’13 is inspired by the Nike Free, in an effort to “ put natural motion back into the shoe.” It weighs less than 14 ounces, comes with six replaceable plastic cleats, and features Nike’s Dynamic Fit support system and Flywire-infused straps for a individual, adaptive fit.
But don’t expect to play like Tiger Woods just because you’re wearing his shoes. Just sayin’…
