From the original iPod development team comes a new creation, the Nest – an intelligent thermostat that actually improves over time.
Installing Nest is as easy as installing a light fixture. From there, you answer a few basic questions and the learning thermostat starts doing its job immediately. Teach it to turn down the temperature at night and when you leave the house. If you continuously turn down the heat on a specific day, say Monday, Nest will remember to automatically turn down the heat for you every Monday. Six sensors are used to keep track of your family member’s habits, and after a week or two, you’ll have a personalized schedule that fits your household.
It’s also WiFi enabled, allowing you to change the temperature, adjust your schedule and check local weather from anywhere, including from your smartphone on the Nest Mobile app.
And of course it’s quite stylish as well. What else would you expect from an Apple development team.
