Autodromo Vallelunga Chronograph

Autodromo Vallelunga Chronograph

Autodromo, a new brand that has been a hit with both watch and car enthusiasts, has recently released their first chronograph.

The Autodromo Vallelunga Chronograph’s design is inspired by racing tachometers widely used in mid-century Ferraris, and was named after a famed Italian racing circuit. Features include a stopwatch, 30 minute counter, big date calendar window, and a Swiss-made Ronda 5020.B Quartz movement – putting the watch at an affordable price point. You’ll have your choice between a white dial / brushed steel case, or a black dial / black PVD steel case, both coming with a perforated leather strap.

You also get a cool looking metal warranty card, resembling a chassis ID plate from some ‘70s Alfa.

Batman Money Clip

Batman Money Clip

Okay, so maybe you can’t afford a Batmobile with a flashing red beacon and rocket exhaust flamethrower, but that doesn’t mean you can’t rock out your love for the superhero with other material goods.

The  Batman Money Clip is shaped exactly like the Batman symbol. It’s die-cast and sheathed in matte black rubberized coating, and has a magnetized grip to hold your cash in place. True, it’s stealthy and cool (in a geeked-out sort of way), but leave this one at home when you take the ladies out for dinner.

Take the advice, you’ll thank us later.

QlockTwo W

QlockTwo W

Based on their popular wall clock, Biegert & Funk are now releasing the QlockTwo W watch.

The QlockTwo W works with a grid of 110 letters in a small square, rather than the numbers and hands that you’d expect to see on any other watch. Simply press the stainless steel button on the side and watch as words light up across multiple areas on the screen. Phrases such as “IT IS HALF PAST TWELVE” will tell you exactly what time it is, in a completely unique way. It also has a calendar day and second display.

The case is available in natural brushed stainless steel or black, while the strap come in either black leather or natural rubber.

Wood Ties

Wood Ties

It looks like the eco-friendly movement is in full effect. Wood Thumb - a startup based in San Francisco - manufactures wood ties.

Wood Ties are made using lightweight, reclaimed wood, with each varying in colors, knots, nail holes and grain patterns. They’re available in two sizes, large (21.5″ long) and small (19.25″ long), and are held together by an elastic cord that runs lengthwise through the tie and around your shirt collar. The cords can also be adjusted to change the length of the tie.

Wood Ties may be perfect for those who are quirky and like to be unique, but be warned… we wouldn’t recommend wearing one to a job interview.

Ray-Ban Legends Collection

Ray-Ban Legends Collection

Ray-Ban needs no introduction here. But what you probably didn’t know is that 2012 is the brand’s 75th anniversary. To celebrate, they’ve released their “Legends Collection.”

One of the truly unique features in this collection are the vintage-inspired colored lenses that “were the height
of 1960s chic,” including sky blue, green, and rose. And along with their popular Round and Aviator styles, they’re re-introducing the Laramy and Meteor.

It also appears as though there are some pretty sweet designs along the interior of select frames.

Cutler and Gross 1055

Cutler and Gross recently released the 1055 aviators as part of their “Hong Kong Motorcycle Club” premium collection for men.

These sunglasses are handmade in Italy and feature brown polarized Carl Zeiss Vision lenses, diamond-patterned rim-wire engraving, diamond headed pins, and a bold brow bar. They’re available with either gold or silver-plated titanium frames.

The 1055 aviators can also be made with a prescription.

Porsche Design P'6510 Black Chronograph

Porsche Design P’6510 Black Chronograph

In 1972, Ferdinand Alexander Porsche founded his own design studio - Porsche Design. His first product was the Chronograph I, which also happens to be the world’s first all black watch. The idea was simple: eliminate unwanted reflections in favor of readability.

Now Porsche Design is re-releasing the matte black chronograph as the P’6510 Black Chronograph and has added a few upgrades. The case’s diameter has grown by 6 millimeters and is now 44 millimeters. Rather than painting the black on, the watch has a black PVD (physical vapour depo-sition) coating to make the layer more durable. Inside you’ll find the ETA Valjoux 7750 chronograph movement with a calendar. It’s also water resistant to a depth of 100 metres and has an anti-reflective scratchproof sapphire crystal face.

Limited to… wait for it: 911 numbered pieces.

2012 TAG Heuer Carrera Jack Heuer 80th Birthday Carrera

2012 TAG Heuer Carrera Jack Heuer 80th Birthday Carrera

I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge watch guy. And I certainly don’t attempt to wear status around my wrist. But every once in awhile one will give me the sudden urge to part with a ridiculous amount of money. This is definitely one of those watches.

The 2012 TAG Heuer Carrera Jack Heuer 80th Birthday Carrera does just what its name implies: celebrates Jack Heuer’s 80th birthday this year. Jack Heur introduced the Carrera in 1964 and was CEO of TAG Heuer until it was sold in 1982. The 80th Birthday Carrera features a bold metallic silver sunburst face, retro hour markers, hints of red throughout, Calibre 17 movement, and a 41mm Carrera case with Jack’s signature engraved on the back. Available with either a polished metal band or calfskin strap featuring a red backing.

Limited to 3,000 units.

Rolex Sky-Dweller

Rolex Sky-Dweller

Introducing the first Rolex to ever feature two separate time zones and an annual calendar on the dial.

Local time is displayed via the central hands while the chosen reference time is displayed in the rotating disc. The months are discreetly marked by 12 apertures that make their way around the circumference of the dial. Selectable watch settings are chosen by using the Ring Command bezel.

1805 Imperial Phantom Pocket Watch

1805 Imperial Phantom Pocket Watch

Back in the 19th century it was easy to look wealthy and sophisticated. Just wear a top hat, pop in your monocle, check your pocket watch, and say “harumph”. Bingo, you’re an aristocrat. Nowadays top hats and monocles are hard to come by, but at least one of these classy affectations is coming back.

The 1805 Imperial Phantom from March LA.B is a Napoleonic-era-inspired pocket watch on a chain, with some modern design and functionality flourishes worked in. It’s got an analog alarm, which no doubt watches in the French Empire sadly lacked, and a snake coil chain with two choices of chain clasp. The glass is anti-reflective mineral crystal with sapphire coating, and if you happen to be foolish enough to wear it when you’re snorkeling, it’s good to 50 meters. It also comes with a stand so you can show it off when you’re not harumphing around town.

It’s free, and we’ll keep you up-to-date with all of the cool stuff we find! Cars, clothes, video games, movies, gadgets, you name it!
