2013 HPE800 Twin Turbo Jeep

2013 HPE800 Twin Turbo Jeep

Christmas may be over for another year, but the winter is still to come, and if you want to ride it out in style, then you need to consider the 2013 HPE800 Twin Turbo Jeep. This $235,000 ride is limited to only 24 examples thus far, but if you’re lucky enough to nab one, get ready for an SUV that’s a far cry from the traditional Soccer Mom-mobile. With 805 brake horsepower and about 823 lb-ft of torque, this traditionally 6.4 liter engine (upgraded to 7.0) will leave a lot of sport cars in the dust.

It achieves 0-60 miles per hour in just 3.1 seconds and has a custom leather interior that will have you dashing through the snow in comfort. Will certainly go nicely parked in the garage next to that Jeep Wrangler Call of Duty Black Ops Edition.

Phantom v1610 | High-Speed Camera

Phantom v1610 | High-Speed Camera

Think your iPhone or Android phone’s camera is hot shit? Say hello to the Phantom V1610.

The Phantom is the go-to camera for insanely fast recording. Wielding a widescreen CMOS sensor and producing 1280 x 800 stills, the Phantom can shoot video at up to 1,000,0000 fps (frames per sec). Wait, what?! That’s right, but there’s a catch: at one million fps, that’s seriously pushing the envelope, so the resulting shots won’t  be 1280 x 800. However, turn it down a notch to 16k fps (still hundreds of times faster than any camera phone is or will ever be) and it’ll record in 720p (1280 x 800) and all her glory.

And is it just us, or does the Phantom look perfectly suited to deep sea exploration? Either way, not many people will ever have one (including yours truly): $100,000, base price.

Zafirro Iridium Razor

Zafirro Iridium Razor

Your eyes are not playing tricks on you. This razor actually does cost $100,000, but there’s a good reason (I think): the handle is 99.5% pure iridium (the strongest and densest functional metal on the planet) and the individual blades are made of sapphire.

The blades, as explained on Zafirro’s website, “are sharpened using high-energy, ionized particles creating a blade edge less than 100 atoms across, or 5000 times thinner than a human hair.” That’s really sharp and really, really dangerous. Enjoy dragging that up your jugular.

The sapphire blades, however, are extremely durable, oxidation- and corrosion-proof, and hypoallergenic. And if you’re worried about replacing them – don’t be. Zafirro gives you up to 10 years of complimentary service on the razor, including cleaning and sharpening as necessary.

For $100,000, you won’t find a closer shave.

2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0

2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0

Any time there’s a new model Porsche released, you can hear the engine rev echo across the world. Do you hear it right now? The soft purr of 500 horses saying “you want me”? Wipe the mist from your envious eyes and read on.

The 2011 model is a limited edition–only 600 are being produced. So only 600 insanely lucky people are going to be treated to the most powerful 911 ever, most of its guts lifted right out of the track model, melting the road as its 4.0-litre flat-six pops to 60mph in a gut-flattening 3.8 seconds, and all the way to 124mph in only 12 seconds. If you see 600 people walking around with their hair on fire, you’ll know they’re the ones who got one of these.

All 600 will have six-speed manual transmissions, central twin exhausts, and deflection vanes on both sides of the front bumper to keep this baby glued to the road. And they’re all pristine white, so you can forget any ideas you’ve got about that hot pink Porsche. Motion blur looks better white anyway, and that’s all anybody’s ever going to see.

21 BlackJack Watch | By Christophe Claret

21 BlackJack Watch | By Christophe Claret

You know how everyone says, “Watches have so much stuff crammed inside them, they don’t even have enough room for the clock part!”? I’ve got $200k to refute that.

Enter the Claret 21 BlackJack Watch, featuring actual working casino games inside an analog watch. I’ll say it again – an analog watch. At the lower part of the dial are four windows for the player’s cards. At the upper part are three windows for the dealer’s cards. Underneath the dial are a series of spinning plates with the cards illustrated on them, making both the outer and the inner workings something incredibly unique.

There’s also a dice game featuring two 1.5mm  dice, as well as a roulette wheel on the back of the watch under antiglare glass. Mind you, this isn’t some abnormally large piece of male jewelry – it’s a fairly standard-sized men’s watch.

Some might say, “Well, this is a waste of money,” but if you want a true conversation piece anywhere you go and you’ve got the disposable income to dispose of, you could find worse ways to spend $200,000.

2012 Aston Martin Virage

2012 Aston Martin Virage

The evolution of a line of cars is kind of like the evolution of a species, in that sometimes when there’s a major evolutionary leap, it leaves a gap in the fossil chain. Aston Martin aims to fill in one of those missing links with the 2012 Virage, which fits comfortably between the DB9 and the DBS, and continues Aston Martin’s determination to stay synonymous with the term “sweet ride”.

The Virage sports a 6.0-liter V-12, comparable to both the DB9 and the DBS, but with 490 hp, exactly halfway between the specs of the other two. It’ll do 0 to 62mph in 4.6 seconds, which is just about fast enough to melt your face off. And the engine is mounted as far back in the chassis as it can go without being right in your lap, delivering significant bonuses to handling.

And all you have to do is look at the picture to see Aston Martin’s got the design thing down. In coupe or convertible Volante forms, It looks a lot like a massaged DB9, sleek and sporty but not obnoxiously so, with sharper headlights and a new hand-finished stainless steel grille. And the interior is all impossibly luxurious hand-stitched Bridge of Weir leather.

2012 Imperia GP

2012 Imperia GP

Who said quality gas mileage had to come at the cost of driving something that looked like crap? Certainly not the makers of the 2012 Imperia GP! For retro car enthusiasts, the Imperia GP is a familiar body that was popular during the first part of the 20th Century. However, what wasn’t possible during that time was a hybrid mix of gasoline and electric motor. The 1.6-liter turbo four boasts 207 horsepower and combines with 134 horsies from the motor to produce a 0-62 acceleration rate in just 4 to 6 seconds. Not bad for an environmentally conscious ride!

The Imperia GP debuted in its native homeland at the Belgian Auto Show. While it is not exactly “hot rod” material, it is definitely the answer for those of you who’ve been complaining about the looks of hybrid cars with its sleek black paint job and classic but modern build. While it’s a tad pricey at $124k, you’ll be doing your environment a favor.

Jetlev Flyer

Jetlev Flyer

Flying around with a jet-pack has just moved from a wild fantasy to the wondrous world of reality, and you have Raymond Li to thank. When he decided to build a jet-pack that ran on water instead of actual jet-fuel, he experienced numerous warnings and ridicule from his friends and engineers alike. Lucky for us, he didn’t listen.

It took a total of four prototypes and 200 flight tests to get it right, but all that hard work definitely paid off. A quick swipe of your credit card and almost 200 grand will get you a fairly light, 30-pound jet-pack that generates 430 pounds of thrust and allows you to fly forward at speeds up to 22 mph and up to three stories high. Even Superman would be jealous.

The Dalmore Trinitas

The Dalmore Trinitas

Get thee to London, drunkards and drunkettes for the official display of the Dalmore Trinitas, the world’s most expensive scotch ever sold. That’s right, sold. The 64-year old concoction has only three bottles in existence and two of them were recently purchased–one in the U.S., the other in the U.K.–for the low, low cost of about 100,000 pounds. That converts to a hell of a lot per ounce.

If you didn’t get in on the fun of these first two sales, then the London Whisky Show (Oct. 29-30, 2010) will have the last remaining bottle on display. This is your chance to get your picture taken with a truly unprecedented bottle of hootch. If you’re able to make it, tell them inStash sent you. It won’t get you anything, but it will be worth watching the puzzled looks on all their high-fallutin’ faces.

2013 Lotus Esprit

2013 Lotus Esprit

The original Lotus Esprit – driven by James Bond in the 1977 classic “The Spy Who Loved Me” –  was first built in 1976 and went out of production in 2004, and since then enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting a new version. The verdict is in: it’s safe to say the wait is going to be well worth it… if you can afford it.

The 2013 Lotus Esprit – dubbed the “ultimate Lotus” – is powered by a forced-induction 5.0-litre V8 that produces 612 HP and redlines at 8,500rpm. All those numbers translate into even more impressive figures: 0-62 MPH in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 205 MPH. Optional hybrid technology will also be available.

I’ll take one… just as soon as my Honda Civic is paid off.
