shark laser decal

Shark With Laser Decal

What’s more manly than a shark? A shark with a laser strapped to its head, of course. This cool wall decal fits nicely into our “art and decor” section no matter what your wife or girlfriend might think. Of course, chances are pretty good she won’t let you use it in the living room, but there’s nothing to stop you from throwing it up in the man cave.

The shark measures 42 inches by 34 inches. The laser beam is 6 feet and can be cut to fit any wall. It’s also waterproof, easy to install, and will last a good three to five years in outdoor life. (But seriously, this bad boy belongs inside.)

star wars remix

Star Wars Remix

Star Wars Remix from Noah Scalin was done in 2011, but it continues to reverberate through the cosmos as one of the greatest Star Wars-inspired pieces of art there is. Scalin actually did several pieces, but our two favorites are the aspirin-as-stormtroopers and the buttons-as-Darth Vader. The idea behind the project was to create — or rather recreate — Star Wars characters with everyday household items.

Can’t get more household than buttons and pills. If you get a chance to check out his website, you’ll also find some other Vader/Stormtrooper variations as well as Leia and C-3PO. (God, forgive me if I misplaced that hyphen.)

couch fighter wall art

Couch Fighter Wall Decal

Want to keep score on how many times you or she have gotten to pick out the nightly TV watching? If so, the Couch Fighter Wall Decal could be the perfect addition to your living room. Great for husbands and wives, roommates, or fellow gamers. As far as functionality is concerned, this one is pretty easy to explain. Simply find your couch, make sure there isn’t anything else cluttering up the space, and stick this bad boy on.

Now you can finally bring video game land into reality without the danger of having your still beating heart ripped out of your chest and handed back to you.

mst3k wall decal

Mystery Science Theater Wall Decal

Need something to spruce up that home theater, but every design you’ve seen is either too lame or too expensive? We may have an answer for your troubles with the Mystery Science Theater Wall Decal. The theme is perfect for any home entertainment room in the world, invoking pleasant memories of the classic Comedy Central / Sci-Fi Channel series that lampooned really bad movies.

It’s like having Crow T. Robot and Tom Servo right there with you every step of the way as you delve into your film library. The only difference this time around is that maybe the guys’ll get to see some decent stuff. We dunno, though. Depends on your taste in movies.

d dynamic

D*Dynamic House

We probably shouldn’t show you this since you’re likely going to want it, and there’s no way discernible to buy just yet, but what the heck! The D*Dynamic House is a perfect square that can be converted into an equilateral triangle. Essentially, it’s a house that can adjust to its environment, opening up during the day to take in a panoramic view. At night, you can close it up and get some sleep in a secure and cozy environment.

Through the conversion process, exterior walls can become interiors and vice versa. The group’s first product is a D*Table that does essentially the same thing. Expect that before the house, and make sure to check out the Kickstarter project by clicking the buy link to see the specifics on how it all works. Help the guys get that house built, and you could witness amazing changes ahead in the future of architecture.

wildfire on wall

Put A Wildfire On Your Wall

Ask any of us who hated math in high school and college, and you’re likely to hear loud proclamations that there is no art in the dreaded subject of numbers. Well, obviously, that’s not true since most art is geometry, but give us a break. We were mad at having to make our brains compute such difficult functions when we would have rather been writing the Great American Novel.

But alas, former professor and experimental artist Bob Jansen is here to shove our hated subject right in our faces with his Put a Wildfire on Your Wall Kickstarter campaign. He uses fractal abstract images to create beautiful artwork that you can print out, or you can pay five bills to get a 48″ x 72″ print shipped to your door. Either way, it’s not fair, math. You can seemingly do it all.

blackprints classic car

Blackprints Jumbo Prints

You want to add a touch of sleek elegance to the decor of your bachelor pad? Look no further than the Blackprints Jumbo Prints now available through Kickstarter. San Francisco-based designer Sabrina Chun is the mind behind these creations. What she has done is make inverted prints of some classically awesome cars. And since we guys are more apt to be gearheads than the ladies, it’s only natural we should want one of these hanging on the wall.

Chun’s prints smack of sophistication and the black goes with any color combination of room. If your girlfriend or mom or whoever has been on you to liven up the walls, then this is the perfect option to do it. Scroll through the images for a look at just a few of Chun’s jumbos.

life clock

24 Hour Life-Clock

We feature a lot of watches here at inStash, but not quite as many of the watch’s older brother, the wall clock. Why are we so chintzy? Well, what can you really do with a clock? Apparently, a lot more than we’ve given these devices credit for. It took the 24 Hour Life-Clock from Chris Wiegman to show us the way. This puppy won’t only help you tell time, it’ll allow you to make the most of it.

It does so by helping change the way you think about the way you spend it. With a color-coded design that allows you to set the times that you eat, sleep, work, and relax, it can get you off the 8 to 5 Monday through Friday grind and on to a schedule that works better for you. It also helps you budget your time more effectively by showing exactly what you should be doing for the block of time you’re in. Available in both wall-clock and software app forms. So check out the 24 Hour Life-Clock today while there’s still time. (Sorry, couldn’t resist.)

control freak

Control Freak Classic Gaming Poster

For the little kid in us all comes this great new poster creation, also transferrable to shirts, hoodies and the like, of every major console controller throughout video game history. Remember the Atari paddle or the Nintendo gun or the Neo-Geo? All of that is here in a fashionably designed poster known as Control Freak from classic gaming nerd Jesse Willis.

Sure, you can probably find an emulator online that will allow you to play every game that ever came across any of these systems. You may even be able to find a refurbie behind the counter at your local video game shop. But this poster allows you to take part in the nostalgia without having to worry about rogue emulator programs, intellectual property laws, or trying to find a place to store the old systems when you’re finally sick of them. Coming soon to a wall near you!

3doodler

3Doodler 3D Printing Pen

Artist friends, get ready for a new toy! The 3Doodler 3D Printing Pen is one of those inventions that we never thought we’d be alive to see growing up. Take the 3D printing technology that we’re so fond of, place it into the concept of a writing utensil, and suddenly the air becomes your canvas! WobbleWorks, LLC, out of Boston set out to raise just $30,000 with this brainchild and with about a month left on their Kickstarter have already cracked $1 million.

When you see the 3Doodle in action, you’ll understand why. Compact, easy to use, plugs in, but requires no software or computers! Basically if you can scribble or trace, you can use this to create whatever is in your head. Only from now on, it doesn’t have to be confined to the page.

It’s free, and we’ll keep you up-to-date with all of the cool stuff we find! Cars, clothes, video games, movies, gadgets, you name it!
