Okay, we totally get how cool something like the Multi-Touch Keyboard and Mouse looks, but it has been super-hard getting used to typing on one of these compared to an actual keyboard. Nevertheless, what we have here may be the best attempt yet at eliminating buttons altogether. Infrared LED technology and cameras combine to sense your fingers’ movements across the all-glass surface for greater accuracy than ever before.

If you miss the tactile sounds, you don’t have to. This device allows you to turn on the sound if you want, so it’ll sound like you’re pounding away. And on top of that, you can use it with a Mac or a PC. Between this little jewel and the Omnio WOWKeys Keyboard, we’re living in the golden age of QWERTY technology.

According to Wacom, The Inkling Digital Pen captures a “digital likeness” of sketching-in-progress, which can be later uploaded using an interactive pen display (e.g. Cintiq) or tablet (e.g. Intuos4). Using the included Inkling Sketch Manager software, sketches are also exportable to the likes of Autodesk Sketchbook Pro ’11 or Photoshop. Perhaps the best part? It’ll even work on regular paper, and digital sketches are saveable as BMP, SVG, JPEG, PNG, PDF, or TIFF files.

It has to be asked, though: Where the hell was this awesome innovation during us Gen-X’ers’ (as well as many ‘Millenials’) youths?

Desktop drives by LaCie and Porsche-Design (yes, a subsidiary of the car company Porsche AG)—oozing class via such svelte, modern encasements—resemble small appliances that could’ve come straight out of Frank Lloyd Wright’s ‘Fallingwater’ house.

As LaCie puts it, these drives combine “…design and technology to result in products that are both beautiful and performance-driven.” We couldn’t agree more with the sentiment.

Now here’s something that can truly be used either for good… or for evil. Paraben’s Porn Detection Stick plugs into your USB port and scans your hard drive for pornographic images. It can scan through a 500GB hard drive with 70,000 images in about 90 minutes, and analyze every single image based on flesh tone colors, body part shapes, backgrounds, and “more”. That must have been a fun algorithm to code. And you gotta wonder what the “more” is.

It’s reported to be 99% accurate in picking out any naughty images you’ve got lying around, including in your browser cache and even recently deleted files. It presents them to you in a report and leaves it up to you to decide what to do with them.

The target users are officially parents, employers, schools, churches, and so forth, or anyone who wants to protect themselves from unwanted adult content. That would be the “good” use. No need to mention the “evil” uses because if you have need for them, then you already know what they are.
