mullet hair of gods

The Mullet: Hairstyle of the Gods

Coming soon to a trailer park near you! (Actually, it’s already here.)

If you’ve never seen a mullet that you didn’t want to bow down and worship, then Mark Larson and Barney Hoskyns have the book for you. With The Mullet: Hairstyle of the Gods, the pair take a look at some of the most unfortunate choices that mankind has ever made with regard to how they present themselves.

Whole families transcend mortal man and become the stuff of legend, as you can see from the photo above. After you’re done with these 128 pages, you’ll understand what they mean by business in front and party in the back.

robot combat league

Robot Combat League

Leave it to the zany team at Syfy to come up with a living personification of the 1980s classic Robot Jox. In Robot Combat League, steel machine combatants do battle with one another for bragging rights and a shot at the world championship. Compare it to Real Steel, Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots-brought-to-life. You name it, and you’re probably right.

The robotic combatants are controlled by human “robo-jockeys.” The series is hosted by WWE wrestler Chris Jericho. It comes on Tuesday nights at 10 pm EST. And if you’re not watching, then don’t show your face around here. (We’re joking about that, but seriously, with names like “Game Over,” “A.X.E.,” “Brimstone,” and “Crash,” how could you not want to see it?

bosshole

Bosshole: The Game

This one’s for all you hard working men, who have to put up with jackass bosses every soul-sucking workday of the week. We’ve all been there. Some of us have escaped, and we’re pulling for the rest of you. Here to help we’re referring you to Bosshole, an exciting new video game now available for the iPhone (all versions).

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to work through all the different floors at work, defeating middle managers, accomplishing high-risk tasks, all on your way to defeat the evil Bosshole and win your freedom forever. It won’t be easy, but it’s nothing that a little alcohol and fantasy violence can’t help.

zombie yearbook

Zombie Yearbook ’64

Zombie Yearbook ’64 from writer and artist Jeff Busch offers a poignant and hilarious look at days gone by as told through the rotting eye sockets of your soon to be favorite corpses. Each image is painstakingly recreated to mimic the experience of your very own yearbook, but it’s done through the lens of a guy, who’s seen Dawn of the Dead one too many times.

Busch packs rich amounts of detail into his zombies, who demonstrate their disdain for teachers, relationships, and school daze. You can also see what each student was up to that year in their clubs, organizations, and sporting endeavors, while meeting the equally putrid staff of ZHS and reliving world events as seen from the perspective of the walking dead.

Jack Reacher 2-Disc Blu-Ray Edition

Okay, so it’s a little hard to buy Tom Cruise as a tough guy, but can’t you turn off your brain for a couple of hours and just enjoy the fun? Coming May 7, you’ll get that opportunity as the film version of Lee Child’s popular bad-a character will be available on Blu-ray in a special two-disc edition with the superb picture and sound and all the special features you’ve come to expect from Blu-ray.

Sure, if you know anything about the novels, you know that Cruise is about a tenth of the size of the “real” Jack Reacher. But with Robert Duvall and Rosamund Pike, we can hardly say no.

Twitter music service

Twitter #Music

Getting sick of hearing the same thing over and over again on the radio? Frustrated that maybe your musical horizons haven’t been expanded enough in the last few years? Put Twitter #Music to use for your benefit. Simply log in to the ol’ Twitter account, sync it with your Rdio or Spotify, and boom, the service picks up what is trending and reports it back to you in an easy to discover format.

Currently, you can see about 140 (to go with the website’s popular character count) of the biggest hits. From there, shift to Emerging Artists or take Twitter’s word for it with the Suggestion feature. Last but not least, you have the ability to keep tabs on your own music and the music your followers are listening to. Finally, Twitter is actually becoming useful.

Prima Cinema

Prima Cinema

Prima Cinema may be a great idea, but we’re not too sure about the execution. Oh, don’t get us wrong, the idea of being able to stream first-run movies to your house — and by first-run, we mean “just released in theaters” — is swell, but Universal, the company behind this endeavor, may have burdened it with too many costs to be effective just yet. For starters, the device runs around $35,000. After that, each movie costs about $500 each.

The player itself comes with five films and can hold up to 50 before you’ve got to start making space. We can definitely see where this is headed, though, and ultimately it’ll be awesome to not have to deal with obnoxious movie theater patrons, long lines, or crowded aisles to watch the latest Hollywood blockbuster.

top gun experience

Wingmen Ultimate Bachelor Party Package

The Wingmen Ultimate Bachelor Party Package is the best way you can possibly say goodbye to your bro in the lead-up to his nuptials. Along the way you’ll have a lot of fun yourself, commanding a carbon-fiber Extra 330LC 6,000 feet above Vegas at speeds of up to 250 miles per hour. Under the guidance of a pro, you’re allowed to take the controls and spin and roll until your heart’s content, or at least until you crash to a fiery death.

Should you survive the experience, you get rewarded with a trip to the 70,000 square foot Sapphire Gentleman’s Club, which reportedly features more than 400, ahem, entertainers, each night. The only caveat: the price we have listed here is “per person,” so you’d better start saving.

man 20

Man 2.0 Engineering the Alpha

John Romaniello and Adam Bornstein have put together Man 2.0 Engineering the Alpha for every guy, who wants to improve his chances with the ladies, burn fat, and basically look like a superhero. And if you aren’t ready to take their word for it, then maybe this’ll help: the foreword is written by none other than the former Governator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Some of the features you’ll find here: how to increase testosterone, 11 (sometimes surprising) techniques for boosting sexual activity, how to use intermittent fasting for the advantage of rapid weight loss, and a few other enhancements for psychological and emotional attitudes. You are man 1.0 until about the age of 25. This helps you take it to the next level.
