Inception 2010

Trailer: Inception (2010)

How do you solve a mystery when the scene of the crime is the human mind? That’s the question asked in director Christopher Nolan’s follow up to his enormously successful The Dark Knight.

Inception stars Leonardo DiCaprio and a stunning ensemble that features Ken Watanabe (The Last Samurai), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (500 Days of Summer), Michael Caine (The Dark Knight), Ellen Page (Juno), Cillian Murphy (Batman Begins), Tom Berenger, and Lukas Haas.

It also promises to be an incredibly personal film as Nolan not only directs but writes the screenplay as well. Expect something as mind-bending as his earlier Memento, but as visually striking as The Dark Knight. From this trailer, it looks like the director is pulling out all stops on the movie-going public for an IMAX worthy experience that will also make you think long after the credits roll.

Trailer Devils Playground 2010

Trailer: Devil’s Playground (2010)

It’s recess time on the devil’s playground, and that means lots of gut-bursting, throat-ripping, head-maiming violence as a pharmaceutical company unleashes Hell on London of the near future. There to tell the story is television director Mark McQueen making his feature film debut alongside actor-writer Bart Ruspoli and his inventive action-horror script.

Starring Danny Dyer (High Heels and Low Lifes, Mean Machine), Jaime Murray (The Deaths of Ian Stone, TV’s Dexter), and Sean Pertwee (Doomsday, Dog Soldiers), this raucous zombie romp promises to be a blood-soaked experience in terror.

Devil’s Playground is served to U.K. theaters in September 2010. U.S. audiences will have to wait a little longer for the feast, but from the looks of things, this gruesome little meal will be worth it!

Shutter Island

Shutter Island

Need a little DiCaprio in your life? How about some criminally insane inmates on an island that looks eerily similar to Alcatraz? If so, be sure to pick up a copy of Shutter Island, the latest thriller directed by Martin Scorsese. Shutter Island tells the story of U.S. Marshall Edward “Teddy” Daniels (DiCaprio), who comes to the Ashecliff Hospital for the criminally insane to investigate a disappearance. From there, things get really creepy, really fast.

The film features a strong cast, including Max von Sydow, Sir Ben Kingsley, Michelle Williams, Ted “Buffalo Bill” Levine and the new Freddy Kreuger himself, Jackie Earle Haley. Shutter Island comes out on Blu-Ray and DVD on June 8 and is rated R.
