Men and their badass toys…or in this case, their arsenal of Medieval-inspired crossbows! Made from hand-cut materials such as oak and ash and finished-over in the likes of beautiful cherry or piano-black wood, The Armors Shop/Old Knights’ Armor and associates manufacturers these rare relics: artifacts that hark back to the days of the Crusades and Dark Ages.
Most Medieval Crossbows boast of ranges between 20 and 30 feet. Some even go beyond that. The lodge (wooden part) is made from oak, cherry, or ash, depending on the customer’s taste. 3- or 5-tail bolts, light stretch sheaves, stainless steel (the arch), and reinforced Lucky 65G-based materials account for the functional parts of the crossbow. Tension, measured via a torsional load tester, among the bows runs the gamut between 25 to 40 pounds.
Now whether you’ll stick it in a glass case for showing off or flaunt it in mock combat at the local Medieval Ages theatre is completely up to you!
