September 30th will be the official unveiling of the Lotus Evora S at the Paris Motor Show. For those of you familiar with the Lotus driving experience, you know that the label is a master of the hard sports car experience. Set out on the open road and work that transmission like you were Cobra himself. But in addition to the Evora S, Lotus has also announced the IPS model (that’s Intense Precision Shift) for those of you who want the option to switch between standard and automatic.
Either way the new Lotus Evora S gives you a 3.5 I V6 Toyota engine and a bump in horsepower from the previous 276 to 345. Torque limits have also received a nice boost from 258 lb.-ft. to 295 lb-ft. Cross-drilled brake rotors also make sure that if you’re beebopping along at this thing’s maximum speed of 172 mph and the radar detector goes wild, you can knock it off before Johnny Law clocks you. This behemoth has a boatload of other features that are sure to drive up the cost when the TBA finally becomes known, but you can be sure that each one will present a new and even kick-buttier driving experience. From the 7″ touch screen LCD media system to the easy access push-button control over the bypass valve in the exhaust system, it’s a mix of luxury and performance.
