One of the very best James Bond movies ever made was The Spy Who Loved Me starring Roger Moore as the intrepid 007. Part of what made the film so great were the underwater scenes involving the 1977 Lotus Esprit Submarine, and now, thanks to the fine folks at RM Auctions, you have a chance to own it.
The filmmakers originally had six shells commissioned for shooting, but only one of those was outfitted with sub capabilities. This is that one. The auction goes down in September. Unfortunately, we don’t think our $20 bid is going to make it to the final round, but best of luck to the rest of you.
