If you’ve ever wanted a watch that both reminds you of Tom Cruise’s early career and costs more than your car, IWC has stepped up to the plate. This bad boy is going to run you a cool $12,000. Trust us, you read that right. Why does it cost so much? Damned if we know, but apparently there’s all sorts of cool top-of-the-line watchy type stuff going on here. Stuff like:
- Mechanical chronograph movement
- 44-hour power reserve when fully wound
- Sapphire glass, convex, antireflective coating on both sides and secured against displacement by drop in air pressure
- Soft-iron inner case for protection against magnetic fields
It also has the Top Gun logo on it, too! That, alone, probably tacked at least, at least, an extra $30 to the price tag.
