Since SUVs were first released on the market in the 90s, they’ve been associated with over-consumption, gas guzzling, and waste. That’s all about to change now that Hyundai has teased their Genesis GV80 Fuel Cell SUV Concept.
The first of its kind, the GV80 mixes a muscular body with a forward-facing interior. While it’s certainly gorgeous looking and innovative in its own right, the real progress here can be found under the hood. With a plugin fuel cell system that provides the power, it’s able to reach a total range that makes Elon Musk burn with jealousy.
While we touched briefly on the interior previously, it’s important to note that the GV80 features a prominent 22-inch touchscreen center console — which displays range and other pertinent information — alongside a decor that looks like it’s straight out of a futuristic airline business class arrangement.
