We here at inStash love speed. That’s why we’re absolutely drooling over the Ford GT Competition Series. I mean, can you imagine that they took the already track-worthy car which was the Ford GT and have taken it to the next level? We couldn’t either!

Built specifically for racing this time around, the Ford GT Competition series has a number of modifications which are meant to reduce its overall weight. These new tweaks include A-Pillars, Carbon fiber racing stripes, Perspex acrylic engine hatch cover, Gorilla Glass, and side mirrors which all do their part to make this the lightest Ford GT ever produced. In fact, this vehicle is so much lighter that that the actual center of gravity is much lower down and forwards the road making for improved traction for the Ford GT overall.

As a race car, certain consumer focused features like stereo, A/C, and cupholders have been removed in order to squeeze out every bit of performance that this car is capable of outputting. In their place, you’ll find other weight-saving features like carbon fiber wheels, titanium lug nuts, and a special exhaust.

The Ford GT Competition might just be the most racing-focused Ford available. Find out more about it below.
