Here comes the futuristic kitchen you’ve always wanted… starting with an automatic paper towel dispenser, controlled by laser beams!
Simply use your hand to break the laser beam on the right and the paper towel will start dispensing. Wait until you have your desired length and remove your hand from the beam to stop dispensing. Then use your hand to break the beam on the left and the dispenser cuts and holds the towel in place until you are ready to use it.
The cutting blade is self-sharpening, and because you’re not touching anything while grabbing a paper towel, the risk of cross-contamination is dramatically reduced. You can use any brand of paper towel, and in theory you’d even be saving money by wasting less of the paper towel that you don’t need.
Of course, it can also be argued that this entire process is what we might call overdoing it. But a laser beam paper towel dispenser? That’s something your friends definitely won’t have.
