Ubisoft is celebrating two big anniversaries this month and it’s also the holiday season; hence they are giving away two of our favorite games for free: World in Conflict and Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag.

The World in Conflict is developed by Ubisoft Massive. It requires you to play the role of an American commander to lead your units against the Soviet Union who attacked the US in an alternate timeline some time in the late 1980s.

As the commander, you should learn the fortes of your armies as well as their areas for improvement. You then build your strategies with this information in mind.

This RTS game is fit for the solo campaign or online multiplayer setting.

World in Conflict is one of the highest rated RTS games, given an 8.6/10 by GameSpot, 9/10 by IGN, and 89% by Metacritic.

The World in Conflict is free for download from Dec. 4, 9:00 AM PST to Dec. 11, 2:00 AM PST.

In Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, on the other hand, you play the role Edward Kenway, the grandfather of Ratonhnhaké:ton and the father of Haytham Kenway from Assassin’s Creed III.

Edward Kenway is a pirate who wants to conquer the Caribbean seas then stumbles upon the Assassin/Templar conflict. He then goes on attacking enemies’ vessels and diving for treasures in his desire to make a name for himself. This is way different from the Chronicles installment.

Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag is another highly rated action-adventure game, garnering a 9/10 rating from SteamPowered and GameSpot.

Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag is free from Dec. 12, 6:00 AM PST to Dec. 18, 2:00 AM PST.

Both games are available through the Ubisoft’s Uplay Store and, as mentioned, they’re yours to keep for free for as long as you have the devices to play them.
