Fonderie47 is a company focused on removing AK47s from Africa, where the weapons are cheap, abundant, and needless to say… threaten lives and undermine development. But what do you do with all of those AK47s after you get them? If you’re Fonderie47, you turn them into jewelry.
These AK47 Cufflinks are made using actual parts from the AK47s and feature 18k white gold and blackened steel. They’re issued in a limited and numbered series – although, no word yet on what that limit is. What we do know is that purchasing these will eliminate 100 assault rifles from circulation in Africa.
Other jewelry pieces from Fonderie47 include rings, bracelets, and pendants.
