Fresh off its Monday (Jan. 14) debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the 2014 Infiniti Q50 dropped jaws and jumped to the top of our 2013 Wish List. Living in luxury means one must drive in luxury and Infiniti through its new Q brand is making it possible to do just that. The design is an aggressive one for a luxury ride with a square-jawed superhero of a front end, arched roof line, and a frenetic wave shape that together speak to the future of luxury automobiles.
There could be a little more under the hood, but this isn’t a muscle car so we’ll let it slide. What’s there is nevertheless impressive and includes a 3.7-liter V6 and 328 horsies. A 3.5-liter hybrid engine is also available for all our fellow tree huggers with a considerably smaller 67hp. Seductive design, agile performance, and intuitive technology that allows you to use a touchscreen to do dozens of things we can’t even begin to describe. We’ll take the keys now please…
