2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class

By Aric Mitchell on January 17, 2011

We all have our own little ways of celebrating birthdays. Some of us go out for a night of drinks and dancing with friends. Some of us walk in to surprise parties that our honeys have thrown us. Some of us sit alone in front of a TV and eat a tub of Ben and Jerry’s with tears streaming down our faces like we just finished Where the Red Fern Grows. Mercedes-Benz forgoes the self loathing and just makes another rockin’ style of car to commemorate this, its 125th anniversary. Introducing the 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class.

This ride features Magic Sky Control, which is a self-tinting roof feature that allows you to adjust the amount of sunlight spilling in to the cab with just the push of a button. The car has been aerodynamically prepared for heat and wind resistance to allow one a longer season of blowing through town with the top down. While it is not one of the world’s fastest cars, it still puts up a respectable 0-60 mph time of just 5.4 seconds with 302 horsepower and a plenty-powerful 3.5-liter V6 engine. So put down that ice cream and get to the dealership, people. There’s a new way to celebrate!
